See Canada's amazing coastal and northern mountain scenery from three different viewpoints: by ferry, rail and luxury motorcoach. This grand vacation takes you along a route filled with native totem poles - from Vancouver Island with its vivid native culture to the city of totem poles in Port Hardy. You will travel along the most beautiful regions of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

DAY 1 Vancouver
Upon arrival in Vancouver, you will transfer to your downtown hotel (not included).

DAY 2 Victoria
Cruise over to Vancovuer Island and take in the floral wonderland of Butchart Gardens and the serene parklands of Beacon Hill Park. A city tour of Victoria completes today's journey in the late afternoon.

DAY 3 Port Hardy
Today, relax on your full day tour up Vancouver Island to Port Hardy. Along the way, visit Duncan 'City of Totem Poles', Chemainus 'City of Murals' and Coombs Dele (made famous by their goats that graze on the roof).

DAY 4 Prince Rupert
This morning, transfer by scheduled motorcoach to the BC Ferries Terminal (transfer included), and embark on a full day of cruising the sheltered waters of the Inside Passage. After your fifteen-hour journey, you will be transferred by taxi to your hotel.

DAY 5 Prince Rupert
Transfer by taxi this morning to the railway station (transfer included). Here you will board the VIA Rail 'Skeena' with Totem service which offers breakfast, lunch and dinner onboard. Arrive in Prince George in the evening and transfer to your hotel (transfer included).

DAY 6 Jasper
After re-board VIA Rail's "Skeena" train where breakfast and lunch are included onboard. Arrive in the early afternoon, and transfer by taxi to you hotel (transfers included).

DAY 7 Jasper
Take time to discover Jasper and it's lovely surroundings on your own. Drive to Maligne Canyon, Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake. The rest of your day is free to explore and check out the shops and other attractions of this resort town.

DAY 8 Banff
Today you will drive to Banff via Canada's most spectacular mountain highway - the Icefields Parkway. A ride on an Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier is included in your package (April 15 - October 15). After a brief stop at Lake Louise, you will continue on to beautiful Banff for an early evening arrival. Begin a two-night stay in Banff.

DAY 9 Banff
This morning's excursion takes you through the town of Banff and its environs. Visit the Cave & Basin National Historic Site (admission included) and your final stop is at the Banff Gondola (included) for a 360 degree look at Banff and the Bow Valley.

DAY 10 Calgary
Transfer by our scheduled airporter service to Calgary International Airport to end your Totem Trail vacation.
